The extracellular matrix (ECM) is composed of essential polymers that provide the skin all of its properties: young skin is supple, firm and elastic. These polymers are different types of collagens (mainly collagens I and III) that maintain skin’s structure and elastin to provide its viscoelasticity. Compared to hyaluronic acid (another major component of the ECM), collagens and elastin are quite sophisticated 3D proteins. Collagen I represents almost 90% of the total collagen, and the collagen III is the youth collagen.

Enzymes (collagenases and peptidases) are degrading collagens and elastin along with aging. This is particularly true for collagen III, a.k.a. the youth collagen, which degrades even faster than collagen I and almost disappearing with aging.

The 3-D analysis reads as follow: the bluer the shade the more uneven the skin is. A redder / yellower shade indicates a smoothing of the skin.

A panel (12 volunteers, from 35 to 52 years old) applied a serum containing 3% of the Biopolymer blend to the eye contour area. Photographs were taken before and 5 minutes after application of the product.

I'm 46 yr old and bought Ubava because I wanted to see if I get botox like results using a topical serum. I have crow's feet that get accentuated when smiling. Just started using this serum 10 days ago. I use it before before applying the moisturizer and have seen some reduction in the intensity of crow's feet when smiling. Will need to use it for at least a month before hopefully I find a noticeable difference.
Stuff actually works. My crow's feet disappeared after one week of use. Highly recommended.
