Protein Deficiency and Hair Loss Explained
Hair growth relies on rapidly dividing cells near the follicle base, requiring ample nutrients. Hair strands are mainly composed of keratin protein. Amino acids, the building blocks of protein, are vital for replicating these cells. Inadequate protein intake can lead to hair loss and worsen existing hair issues. Restoring protein intake is key for effective serum output.
Daily Protein Needs
An average-sized adult (70 kg or ~150 lbs) should consume around 50 grams of protein daily.
Plant Protein Sources
Legumes like soybeans (~30 grams per cup) and lentils (~17 grams per cup) are rich plant protein sources. Most legumes offer about 15 grams of protein per cup. Nuts and seeds are similar but higher in healthy fats and calories. Certain vegetables, such as peas (8 grams per cup), asparagus (3 grams per cup), kale (3 grams per cup), alfalfa sprouts (3 grams per cup), and broccoli (2.5 grams per cup), also provide quality protein. Dairy products like cottage cheese and Greek yogurt (over 20 grams per cup) are excellent sources.
Animal Protein Source
Products like poultry, seafood containing about 25% protein, can easily meet this requirement. For example, a large chicken breast provides over 50 grams of protein. 5-6 grams per egg.
Avoid self-medication: please do not take meds without a Doctor’s cause these may create hindrance in your regular body functions.
